Today I had an early start, and hiked up to the ridge line.

It is a fairly steep hike from the apartment in the coastal forest are, but a wonderful walk through pine and juniper.

Worth the effort, as the view out over the koukounaries bay is quiet stunning

I stopped here for a few minutes took the opportunity to conduct some FT8 data mode propagation tests on 20m.

Furthest heard was V31DL0 in Belieze.
So, after a quick break, I took a minor detour to the south to visit the Comms mast site.

(I am not sure if there is a specific name for the hobby of “mast spotting”, but if there is, I am one!)
Already very hot by this time. Even the goats that live there were taking shelter in the trees. I could not see them, just hear their bells clinking and clanging in the forest.
I headed back to the north and followed the loop around anti clockwise along the coast for a distance, and on into Madraki Forest.

And as I was running low on water by this time, headed back through the shady forest path to the apartment to grab some lunch.

After lunch I headed back out again to the north, this time for some snorkeling at Mandraki beach.

Certainly not the closest beach, but one of the better ones for snorkeling.
No pix of that I’m afraid.
And that pretty much sums up the day.
After washing and sorting my equipment, I had another meal (Toast, taramasalata, red pepper, salami, onions, olives and olive oil)

… And watched the sun set into the trees that surround my apartment
